Construction is on-pace to begin on this curb-to-curb park renovation in late 2027 , with the park slated to reopen in late 2029 . Later this month, you will see the permit notice posted on-site as part of our DBI noticing requirements, but to be clear, construction will not begin in 2026. DBI permit approval is an important project milestone, but we’ve got several steps ahead before we can enter construction, including finalizing project financing, completing design reviews, and obtaining other construction permits. This work should have no impact on permitted activities and minimal impact on general field access. The work involves collecting soil samples at various locations on the fields using narrow boring tools. Workers will use specialized equipment to minimize noise and air quality impacts. You may encounter short, intermittent closures and detours at various areas around the park while boreholes are being dug or while equipment is being transferred between sampling points. We ask park visitors to be mindful of the testing crew while they’re working on-site and give them ample space to complete their work safely.
